Mission Statement

The Belize Adventist Junior College provides students with an education in a Christian setting. As a resource center for life-long learning, Belize Adventist Junior College is confident that each individual has the ability to learn and to affect change, regardless of age, sex, religion or culture.

The college seeks to develop a united community in which staff and students can work and study together, to develop physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially. The emphasis on campus is to establish a relationship with God, and to share Jesus Christ and His everlasting gospel through service to mankind, and to develop respect for our fellowmen. BAJC seeks to encourage physical labor as an integral part of learning, to nurture critical thinkers, and to promote meaningful service in pursuit of all that is noble.

General Info

Belize Adventist Junior College (BAJC) is the first co-educational Christian tertiary institution owned and operated under the leadership of the Belize Union of Seventh-day Adventist Churches with license to operate from the Government of Belize.

This institution has been successfully serving the Belizean community. Graduates from our institution have merged into the workforce. They serve Belize as productive citizens in the public and private sectors such as primary and secondary school teachers, secretaries, receptionists and police officers. In addition, others pursue higher education.

BAJC adopts the philosophy that “true education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is.

General Info

It has to do with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come." (Education, p. 13)

In harmony with the Seventh-day Adventist educational philosophy, BAJC seeks arduously to instill and emphasize biblical standards through its physical, mental, spiritual, and social activities. The following objectives guide the institution in achieving its mission. To lead each student into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To guide students in the development of Christian character and civic pride marked by loyalty to God, nation and mankind. To engender in students a love for humanitarian deeds of selfless service, similar to those of Jesus.
